The Archconfraternity of St. Stephen (ACSS) had the first of its quarterly outings of 2019 on January 26th.

The gathering took place in the city of Kilkenny and saw 11 altar servers meet for a day of instruction, sightseeing and activities.

The day commenced with a tour of the impressive Kilkenny Castle, before the group assembled for 11.30am Mass and then lunch. Following this, serving practice sessions were arranged and the boys were tested in their respective roles on the altar for the Holy Sacrifice.

Castlecomer Discovery Park was the destination later in the afternoon, where many proved their head for heights and took on the Tree Top Adventure Walk and Climbing Wall. Here the day came to an end and everyone parted ways, looking forward to meeting once again in the Spring.
